While looking for Murphy Beds we stumbled across your vertical twin. It was a perfect fit for where we wanted to put it. My husband put it together and painted it, he even added lights. I am so pleased and love it.
The bed came in one shipment (3 pieces) and is SUPER heavy. Just be careful (watch those toes)! We read the instructions and watched the videos and put it together over the course of a day. The bed came together and we are planning to paint soon! Fits perfectly in the space and exceeded our expectations. This is the full/queen horizontal. It will work best with a queen - the mattress strap doesn't 'hold' a full size mattress as it is too close - we may consider relocating it to the center of the system.
I just moved into a small studio apartment and wanted to make my space feel larger. I bought this bed so that when I host, it does not feel like I have guests in my bedroom.
The bed was easy to build. Because I have some wood working skills and am quite strong, I was able to built it by myself by just following the Youtube video. The bed is a little heavy to put up by myself so I reserve putting it up for when I have guests over or really feel like I need more space. I was surprised by how comfortable the bed platform is. I have been sleeping on Ikea junk for years and did not realize how good it feels to be on a solid wood frame.
I recommend this bed as both a space saving measure and a surprisingly comfortable piece of solid furniture. Love it!
My husband & I are no contractors but by following the video we didn’t make any mistakes! We’re going to enjoy our Lori Wall Bed!
I bought the queen size horizontal for a small spare room/office. It was easy to build with two people, but the price was a big sell for me.
After having the parts for a few years, we finally got this built for a spare bedroom and now he space for yoga and a massage table when we need it!
We love our new Lori Wall Bed! Assembly instructions are very clear and the bed was very easy to put together. It's a very solid structure, easy to open and close, and a great price compared to other beds we looked at. One bonus we didn't anticipate, is the ability to move the bed itself away from the cabinet when it is in use (because it is does not hinge into the cabinet). One caution : we chose to stain the bed ourselves to match other redwood in the room. Staining was easy, but we ended up with two face panels being much lighter than the other two panels. I cannot say if this was a difference between the wood itself, or a labor problem. ;-)
I love my vertical twin LoriWallBed. It took a little longer to put together for this 62 old man, but it was doable. I wanted to make a Murphy bed for a while now, but when I saw this bed, I loved the design and the price was reasonable. I was happy to support a small business and reward them for such a clever design.
Turned a room into an office but still needed room for a bed when my son comes home on leave. This bed is perfect for a small room. Easy assembly, and well made. My husband and I assembled in about 3 hours. The wall pieces are even notched out to go over baseboards. I can lift and lay down the twin (horizontal) myself.
I bought the queen size vertical unfinished wall bed. I wanted to turn a small apartment bedroom into a room that could function as a guest bedroom/workout/office. Packaging came on time and in perfect condition. I started building it right away and it took me about 6 hours from unpacking to putting the bed up and locked. I really took my time building the bed. The building process was easy, following the video online. I bought a hybrid matress to go with it and it probably is more comfortable than my actual bed. I let the bed in it's natural unfinished state and it looks great. I'm very happy with the results.
